Alex Jayne continues her impressive streak of releasing emotional, moving tracks with her latest single, ‘Clouds’. At its core, the track is a luscious duet between Jayne and her guitar. Melodies and lyrics are at the forefront of her style, as she explains that the track is built on the idea that “sometimes we question things that take life in a different direction, but in time you might see them in a new light.” Beneath all of this, however, we have the song’s most endearing trait; a gradually intensifying layer of cinematic strings, synths and basses that are simultaneously haunting and beautiful. -Dan Peeke
